Ingredients

  • Thickly grated carrot — 1 cup​

  • Double toned milk – 1 cup​

  • Cardamom powder – 1/4th tsp​

  • Chopped almonds – 1 tbsp​

  • Ghee – 1 tsp​

  • Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care – 3 Scoops

Method

  • In a thick bottomed pan, simmer carrots in milk until liquid evaporates. Stir the mixture at regular intervals.​

  • Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan and add the carrot and milk mixture.​

  • Add cardamom powder, half of the almonds and cook over a gentle flame for a few more minutes till the liquid evaporates completely, the halwa turns deep reddish color.​

  • Now take the halwa off the flame, cool and add 3 scoops of Ensure Diabetes Care. Garnish with the remaining almond and serve.
