Shir Sewain Recipe



  • Double toned milk – 1 Cup​

  • Vermicelli – 2tbsp ​

  • Khoya – ½ tsp​

  • Raisins – 1tsp​

  • Chopped pistachios – ½ tsp​

  • Chopped almonds – ½ tsp​

  • Saffron - 2-3 strands​

  • Ghee – 1tsp​

  • Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care - 3 Scoops

    • Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care – 3 Scoops


    • In a small bowl, soak saffron strands in 2 tablespoons with warm milk and keep aside.​

    • Take ghee in a thick pan, add almonds and pistachios, roast and then add raisins and stir till they swell. Remove them from the ghee and keep aside. Keep the remaining ghee aside.​

    • Heat the ghee kept aside in a thick bottomed pan. Add the semiya and sauté till golden brown in color.​

    • Slowly, add the milk and cook till the semiya is well cooked. ​

    • Then, add the khoya and cook till khoya is dissolved and the mix starts thickening.​

    • To this add the saffron, raisins, pistachios and almonds and mix well.​

    • Transfer to a serving bowl, cool and add 3 scoops of Ensure Diabetes Care and serve.
