Ingredients

  • Double toned milk – 1 ½  cup ​

  • Vermicelli – 2tbsp​

  • Chopped almonds – 1 ½ tsp​

  • Chopped cashew nuts – 1/2 tsp​

  • Raisins  ½ tsp​

  • Cardamom powder – 1/4th tsp​

  • Saffron  2-3 strands​

  • Ghee - ½ tsp​

  • Vanilla Ensure Diabetes Care – 3 Scoops

Method

  • In a small bowl, soak saffron strands in 2 tablespoons warm milk and keep aside.​

  • Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan, to this add vermicelli and roast it until it turns golden brown.​

  • To add this milk and stir it continuously so that the milk and vermicelli do not stick to the bottom of the pan. The mix will slowly thicken.​

  • Then, add saffron milk, cardamom powder, almonds and cashew nuts and keep mixing.​

  • Transfer the kheer in a bowl when semi thick. Cool and add 3 scoops of Ensure Diabetes Care and mix well.​

  • Garnish it with raisins and serve it chilled.
