Breast milk is best for your baby

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. At around six months of age (but not before 4 months), infants should receive nutritionally adequate and age-appropriate complementary foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. Consult your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.

Abbott Singapore fully recognises breast milk’s primacy, value and superiority and supports exclusive breastfeeding as recommended by the WHO.

What to look for in an easy-to-digest formula?

Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Protein

A partially hydrolyzed formula with smaller whey proteins (peptides) may be gentler on your child’s tummy. In addition, milk formulas with these smaller proteins are less likely to cause allergic reactions and, are referred to as hypoallergenic± milk formula.

Prebiotics
Prebiotics (FOS), have been shown to promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut, which may help to suppress the growth of harmful bacteria and maintain a healthy digestive system. Prebiotics may support your child’s digestive system.

2′-FL
2′-FL is an oligosaccharide derived from lactose.

Lactose-Free

Easy To Prepare

Step 1

Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing the feed.

Step 2

Thoroughly wash feeding bottle, nipple cap and all utensils to be used in preparing the feed.

Step 3

Sterilise all feeding utensils in a steriliser or boil in water for 5 minutes.

Step 4

To prepare 1 feed, mix 3 level scoops of Similac^® Total Comfort powder in 180ml of lukewarm previously boiled water.

Step 5

Shake until completely dissolved. Test temperature and feed.

Step 6

Discard unused feed within 1 hour.

Reminder: If not used immediately, prepared formula should be stored in the refrigerator at 2°C – 4°C and used within 24 hours.
