How do parents like Bianca Gonzalez-Intal help their children learn faster?

Helping children become fast learners is no easy task for any parent, even for super Bianca herself. It takes a whole lot of effort, time and patience but it’s nonetheless rewarding. While each child learns differently, there are some things that every parent can try to help boost their child’s learning capabilities.

So here are some techniques that mommy Bianca has tried with her daughters Lucia and Carmen.

1 - Gamify learning to make it more fun

Play is an integral part of learning. It makes learning exercises much more appealing and it can help them pick things up faster. Play-based learning encourages brain development through diverse hands-on activities that allow them to exercise their imaginations, explore, experience, and create (1).

“When I was growing up, there was a stigma that play is just “laro-laro” lang and was seen as “time away” from schoolwork. Now I know that play is an integral part of helping develop a child’s brain and teaches so many things like creativity, strategizing, and even learning social cues.” - Bianca Gonzalez-Intal

Parents have also found play to be a way to encourage independent learning. When a child plays independently, they develop confidence, increase problem solving abilities, creativity and even resilience. It is important for you to take the time to learn about your child’s interests, whether it’s play in the form of sports, arts, or even playing video games, so you can offer a setup, routine or even educational toys/tools that fit their type of independent play.

2 - Expose them to new learning environments

Learning doesn’t just have to happen at school or at home. You can take them to educational trips, sign them up for music lessons, or bring them to sports clinics. Exposing them to different learning avenues gives them a hands-on and immersive experience that supports their learning (2). Plus, it’s a good way for them to meet new people and practice their communication, behavioral, and social skills.

As simple as taking your child with you out of town on a vacation can also do wonders. Bianca recalls, “I also noticed that in our family trips out of town, whether to a new place or somewhere they’ve been before, in just a few days, they mature and develop in leaps and bounds. We really feel it’s their exposure to new things and seeing that the world is so much bigger that piques their curiosity and helps develop their confidence.”

3 - Give them Similac GainSchool every day

Not all milks are created equal. Based on a survey from Mintel, from the GNDP database conducted on September 29, 2021 globally in the milk formula category(3), only Similac GainSchool has added Gangliosides for Higher IQ (vs standard formula without added gangliosides and with balanced nutrition). Gangliosides are proven to support faster brain connections, which lead to faster learning (with proper diet and exercise).

Just like Bianca who wants nothing more than to give her kids Carmen and Lucia the best possible start in life by helping them learn faster, Similac GainSchool is her partner in raising stronger and smarter kids. “From Day 1 of Lucia and Carmen drinking formula milk, it has only been Similac GainSchool for us. I see every day that they are really fast and curious learners, and I know that Similac GainSchool has been a huge factor in this.”

Providing different ways for our children to learn is the best thing we can do as parents.

And Similac GainSchool is here to help you make the most out of these learning opportunities so that your children can grow up to be sharper and faster learners (with proper diet and exercise) .
